Cloaking
Showing search engines different content from what users see, in order to manipulate rankings — a spam policy violation.
Serving keyword-stuffed text to Googlebot and something else to visitors, or redirecting users to a page crawlers never see, are classic examples. Hacked sites are often cloaked without the owner knowing. Legitimate differences, such as a paywall marked up with structured data, are not cloaking.
